FERRYDEN Primary School has marked the start of its new link with children in Malawi by sending out goodwill gifts to the African community.

The youngsters from the village school sent footballs and boxes of books to Luhomero Primary School in northern Malawi, as well as boxes of medical supplies to be used in the hospital in Ekwendeni.

These were very kindly donated by the local Seafarers’ Centre which had received surplus stock from a shipping company.

The consignment is being shipped out by the Argyll-based Raven Trust and is part of the ongoing connection between Inchbrayock Parish Church and Engcongolweni in Malawi.
