Emerging artists

OPERA Bohemia, the exciting new professional Opera Company created by and starring emerging young Scottish artists, is delighted to announce a Scottish tour of their most recent production, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, based on Sir Walter Scott’s novel The Bride of Lammermoor.

The tour will include a performance on Tuesday, March 27 at the Gardyne Theatre, Dundee at 7.30 pm.

With the company keen to bring opera to more people in Scotland and provide new opportunities to singers and musicians, Opera Bohemia is clearly an important and exciting venture for Scotland’s Art sector. They have already enjoyed great success with their debut production of La Boheme, and performances of their Lucia di Lammermoor have already been praised by both audience and critic. The largely Scottish cast and crew are joined by two Scottish musicians; Laura Baxter (piano) and Amira Bedrush-McDonald (violin), who help bring Donizetti’s masterpiece to life. Lucia di Lammermoor is a work full of vocal fireworks and sublime melodies. Tickets from the box office: 01382 434940.
