Angus Heritage Week 2013 will take place from September 13 to 20; with Doors Open Days over the weekend of September 14 and 15.
These provide an opportunity for venues and groups to open their doors or hold events promoting the rich local heritage to both the community and visitors.
The 2012 Angus Heritage Week programme featured over 40 events including talks, guided walks and tours, children’s activities, music events, exhibitions and open days.
Nineteen Angus venues opened their doors during Doors Open Days allowing members of the public to see inside buildings that may not normally be accessible, providing the opportunity, free of charge, to experience not only cultural and historic buildings, but also some unusual and contemporary buildings.
This year it is hoped to increase the number of events held across Angus as well as the number of visitors.
If you know of any group or organisation who would like to submit an event, please call 01307 473226 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or submit the details of the event or venue online at www.angusheritage.com/ahwevents.
Closing date for responses is 21 June to be included in the printed programme, however any information received after this date will still be added to the events section on www.angusheritage.com.
