ANGUS Council Roads department will be repairing two rural roads to the south of Montrose shortly.
Beginning this week the U478, Dunninald Den from Nether Dysart Junction to Dunninald Lodge, will see carriageway repairs and surface dressing work carried out. Rolling road closure will be required.
The road from the A92 to Westerton of Rossie will be repaired with both carriageway patching and surface dressing being carried out.
This will require the road being closed with alternative access to Rossie School via Upper Dysart and Gightyburn.
Montrose councillor Bill Duff said: “I’m glad that we are starting to repair our rural roads.
“Gradually, we are seeing the worst pieces of roadway being repaired after the hard winter.
“Despite the challenging weather we have faced, it is pleasing to see that Angus Roads are regarded as the sixth best in a Scottish Road Maintenance survey.”
