An Arbroath woman is awaiting sentence after causing a disturbance at a fairground in Motherwell.

Deborah Williamson (30), 19 Seafield Road, Arbroath, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week after an incident at M&D’s Theme Park in Motherwell, Lanarkshire on April 2.

She admitted she shouted abuse, demanded alcohol, threw leaflets about and acted aggressively towards staff. Williamson was spotted staggering around and trying to grab members of the public. At one point she threatened a young girl. She also admitted assaulting a man by grabbing his private parts.

Williamson was on bail at the time. Sentence was deferred until June 6 and she was allowed to remain on bail while background reports are compiled.
