Stallholders from the Angus Farmers Market will be back in the High Street on Saturday, from 9am to 1pm, bringing locally produced foods right into the centre of town.
This month Sandy Gray will join the stallholders with his products from Aberfeldy Oatmeal, including a biscuit range made from their own flours, oatmeal and oat flakes.
The county of Angus produces the best of summer soft fruits. Sweet and tasty strawberries and raspberries fresh from the fields will be in abundance. Fresh vegetables are a must for the table and Scottish potatoes are hard to beat, especially with a dollop of Scottish butter. Antonia from Myreside organics will have a wonderful selection of certified organically grown salads leaves and her first broad beans and cucumbers.
The variety of meat products is second to none, from Highland beef to Rose Veal and award-winning pork.
Angus Farmers Market is lucky to have great non-food stalls to add to the choice for their customers. Ashbrook Nursery always has a wonderful display of fabulous plants. To enhance the market further Pam Grattan will bring personalised window boxes and slate house signs.
Stallholders will be joined by members of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and Friends of Sunnyside.
Angus Farmers Market can also be found indoors at the Mart, John Street, Forfar, on the second Saturday of the month.
