THE MONTROSE Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild will hold its next meeting this Saturday, April 20 in Columba Hall, Market Street.
In the morning, members will gather for an informal stitching session and, in the afternoon, beginning at 2pm, there will be an EGM, when members will elect their committee members.
This will be followed by a talk from guest speaker Shirley McKeand, an experienced stitcher whose topic will be ‘My Life in Fashion’.
The session will end with afternoon tea, which gives everyone an opportunity to have a closer look at Shirley’s work, chat and meet other members, who are drawn widely from Angus and the Mearns.
Visitors are always welcome to these Saturday afternoon meetings. Entry costs £2, which is refunded on becoming a member.
The Guild is for anyone with an interest in embroidery and all the associated arts and crafts – from beginners to experienced stitchers – so please come along.
