The National Inner Wheel Montrose Club ladies are holding this years Annual Fashion Show to raise funds for Parkinsons disease.

The event, to be held in Taylor’s Auction Rooms on Thursday, March 24, will showcase Spring and Summer fashions at Chique Boutique.

Trish Douglas who is President of the National Inner Wheel of Great Britain and Ireland and also runs the George Hotel in town, has personally been affected by the disease - her husband Iain, former minister of St Andrew’s and Farnell, suffered from Parkinson’s for a number of years and passed away in July 2013.

She said: “I lost my husband three years ago to this awful disease. Parkinsons UK is this year’s chosen charity for the Inner Wheel. Accepting our cheque for Parkinsons UK will be Jane Asher. The Inner wheel aims to promote worldwide understanding and raises lots every year.” The Montrose Club also raises funds for young carers, daycare in Montrose as well as Stracathro Hospital and the YMCA.

Robert Ritchie will provide the music and the clothes will be modelled by Inner Wheel and Chique models. Tickets cost £10 to include a glass of bubbly and shortbread.
