Tesco Bank Art Competition for Schools arrived at Ferryden Primary School on Wednesday.
Primary five, six and seven classes got involved in the creative sessions led by the National Galleries of Scotland education team. They taught the pupils how to work with plaster casting to create pieces similar to that of Scottish sculptor and artist Sir Eduardo Paolozzi.
The workshops are designed to give children the opportunity to experience visual art, and bring Scotland’s national collection to children across Scotland.
The partnership between Tesco Bank and the National Galleries of Scotland, which encourages young people to get arty and express themselves creatively, is now in its fourth year, with the aim to educate and encourage young people across the country using the nation’s art collection as inspiration.
The Tesco Bank Art Competition for Schools is open to kids from nursery level right up to S2, with each age group given a different theme for inspiration.
