Fire & Rescue and Council aid youngsters

A PARTNERSHIP between Angus Council 16+ Learning Choices, The Rural and Urban Training Scheme (RUTs) and Tayside Fire and Rescue has allowed four unemployed people aged between 16 and 18 to learn new skills and undertake an SQA unit in ‘Use of handtools’.

Over six days they took part in workshops to learn about handtools and their use, basic motorcycle care and maintenance and identified further relevant training opportunities.

This is the third time the programme has run in Angus for young people taking part in 16+ Learning Choices and is proving a popular learning option.
