A SCOTTISH charity is encouraging Montrose festival goers to take advantage of a scheme offering free first aid kits.
Created by St Andrew’s First Aid, the packs are designed to help treat minor accidents that can happen while camping, walking long distances and being in very crowded places, typical situations at a music festival.
The Festival First Aid Pack contains essential items including sterile dressings, swabs and tape, and is safe to take into festival arenas as it contains no sharp items. Smaller than an A5 piece of paper, the waterproof pack easily fits in a rucksack, bag or large coat pocket.
Stuart Callison, St Andrew’s First Aid chief executive, said: “A little preparation can prevent a ruined weekend, and this pack can help festival goers deal with minor injuries.”
The packs are available online at www.firstaid.org.uk, office and at shows and events across Scotland. The website also contains advice on staying safe at a festival.
