Folk music workshop

ANGUS Folk are running a full-day singing workshop in St Margaret’s Hall, Forfar, on Saturday, June 1, from 10am until 4.30pm.

Guest tutor will be Ali Burns.

Alison spends much of her time running workshops for singers and working with choirs where she has built her reputation teaching her own compositions.

Over the years many choirs and singing groups across Britain have commissioned pieces from her for special occasions and events, and include her work in their repertoire of favourite songs. Exquisite harmonies and rich but simple text are the hallmark of her songs that are guaranteed to move and inspire.

Registration is from 9.30am and the cost of the workshop includes tea, coffee and home baking during the day. Lunch is not included but there are plenty of pubs and coffee shops in Forfar.

The cost is £20; or £15 concessions or Angus Folk members.

Information about the workshop can be found on the website: www.angusfolk.org

E-mail info@angusfolk.org to book a place or (preferably) fill out a workshop booking form (http://www.angusfolk.org/bookingform.asp) at any time to register and receive updates by e-mail.
