This year’s Montrose Mini Highland Games will be held on Sunday at the sports field adjacent to Montrose Sports Centre.
The event will begin at 1pm and will incorporate the crowning of this year’s Montrose Rose Queen at 2pm.
At 3pm there will be a fancy dress competition to which all youngsters are cordially invited.
Highland games wouldn’t be Highland games without Highland Dancing, and this will take place throughout the event.
There will be numerous stalls and all kinds of refreshments, so there will be much to do as well as look at.
Attractions will include music from Montrose Town Band and Grampian District Pipes and Drums.
Traditional games include Tug of War, Throwing the Wellie, Haggis Hurling, mini Caber Tossing and races. There will be events for all the family, from toddlers to teens, mums and dads to grannies, and everyone in between.
These include face painting, generation games and lots of things where there are prizes to be won.
And what many might regard as the best news of all - admission is free!
