Fund-raising for Rhys

JENNIFER Burness (pictured), who is an amputee, has decided to raise money to help five-year-old Rhys Allan attain a better quality of life.

Rhys has cerebral palsy.

She has signed up to undertake five sponsored laps at Energie Fitness for Women at Unit 3, New Wynd, on June 30.

Jennifer told the Review: “It is going to be a real struggle for me, and will take me about an hour.

“But Rhys needs physio equipment to build himself up to be able to sit by himself.

“That would be a milestone in his progress, and could open the door to further treatment such as an operation that would enable him to walk.”

Donations can be made at Energie Fitness.
