AN ANGUS garden centre is appealing for local charitable causes to come forward to benefit from a full year of fund-raising.

Brechin Castle Garden Centre is organising a range of activities over the next year and is now looking for a local worthy cause to reap the rewards of its efforts.

The business donates money to a range of charities every year.

Assistant manager Aileen Bennett said: “We will be holding events such as a Fireworks to Music on November 4, an entertainment evening, and various other seasonal activities throughout the coming year.

“We’re trying to identify a local good cause to support and are open to any suggestions from local organisations or members of the public.

“We would be envisage the recipients to be from around a 30-mile radius of Angus. The idea would be that groups or individuals could nominate themselves by writing to us detailing their cause and the directors will select this year’s good cause.

“All ideas will be considered, but applications should provide full details.”

The closing date for proposals is Sunday, August 14, and applications should be sent to the Managing Director, Brechin Castle Garden Centre, Haughmuir, by Brechin. DD9 6RL. Further details can be found online at www.brechincastlecentre.co.uk
