Gallery gardens open this weekend

The stunning Gallery gardens in Montrose will be open this Saturday to raise money for charity.

From 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday (July 12) the magnificent gardens framed within hedges of privet, holly and box is open to the public.

It has many surprises and unfolds as a series of rooms with different features and a collection of herbaceous plants and shrubs.

There is also a charming woodland walk leading to the North Esk and a flock of unusual Castlemilk sheep.

The money raised from the open day is going to Practical Action and charities supported by Scotland’s Gardens.

Admission is £4, accompanied children go free. There is partial disabled access. Dogs must be on leads.

The that at the opening of the garden earlier £307 was raised and in 2013 the Gallery gardens raised £927, which was divided between Practical Action and Scotland’s Gardens beneficiaries.
