A popular Johnshaven art emporium, Starfish Studio, has launched a series of workshops to teach people how to produce a variety of crafts from crochet to straw work and jewellery making.
The Starfish Studio, which was opened by artist Kate MacKenzie in 2009, sells only affordable, British hand-made goods with the emphasis on local products.
Kate told the Review: “The workshops were born because so many people coming into the shop had expressed an interest in creating something themselves.
“We are delighted to have harnessed such expert tuition to lead the classes which include bead embroidery, knitting and decoupage.
“A few workshops have already taken place and participants had a lot of fun as well as being able to take home the piece that they had made.”
All classes will take place at Starfish Studio in Johnshaven, near Montrose, and range from two hour sessions to all day workshops with prices from £20 to £50.
A variety of workshops are being added regularly for people to enjoy.
