WITH the Jubilee bank holiday coming up, architect and TV personality George Clarke is sure many readers will be considering improvements to their homes.
George, who has presented the likes of Build A New Life in the Country, The Home Show, Restoration Man and the Empty Homes Show, said: “As an architect, I know just how much people value their homes, which is why it’s so important to get the most out of your property.
“Architect in the House is a scheme run by the housing charity Shelter Scotland and the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) and the Royal Institute of British Architects. It gives homeowners a unique opportunity to discuss their ideas with a local RIAS architect and make a suggested donation of £40 to Shelter Scotland.
“The money raised through the scheme enables Shelter Scotland to reach thousands of people in Scotland each year with housing advice and support and continue to campaign for a future where no child’s life is blighted by bad housing.
“I’m urging all homeowners in Dundee who are considering home improvements, whether building an extension or knocking down a wall to find out how an architect can bring their ideas to life - there is no project too big or small.”
