A new campaign, to inspire people to visit Angus this spring and summer, has been launched by VisitScotland, in partnership with Angus Council.
Launching this month, the spring campaign - which complements VisitScotland’s Brilliant Moments campaign - highlights the range of events and activities that visitors can see and discover.
As well as press and digital advertising, the activity also incorporates a dedicated destination flyer inserted into a national direct mail pack which is targeting around 65,000 people who may be interested in visiting the area.
The colourful insert, which has a focus on places to visit in Angus, features stunning images of Lunan Bay, Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre and Glamis Castle. As 2015 is the Year of Food and Drink, the campaign will also urge visitors to sample some of Angus’s finest culinary delights.
Councillor Mairi Evans, Angus Council’s tourism spokesperson, said: “We are delighted to be working with VisitScotland to show the Brilliant Moments which can be enjoyed in Angus this year. There is a superb calendar of events in the area, such as Montrose Music Festival, the Glamis Extravaganza and Seafest. To celebrate the Year of Food and Drink, many of these events are partnering with local producers, giving visitors the chance to sample local delicacies, such as Arbroath Smokies, and even our own potato vodka.”
