Letham folk will have the chance to pop in and see their new health and wellbeing centre this week.
Residents are invited to attend the drop-in opening event of the Letham Health & Wellbeing Centre on Thursday, 29 October from 4-8pm.
NHS Tayside Director of Primary and Community Services Bill Nicoll said: “I would encourage people to come along to the opening of the new centre to hear about a range of initiatives that have been designed in collaboration with the local community to use this new facility as a hub for local health and wellbeing solutions.
“A specialist community nursing team and NHS Tayside podiatrists already use the centre and the aim is to run a variety of clinics and drop-in sessions planned with the local population to meet local health needs.
“Those attending the opening will also have the chance to hear from a community pharmacist about the range of pharmacy services that will be on offer in the local area.
“We would like to hear from the local population about how we can expand the range of services offered from the centre.”
Members of the Letham Community Council will also be on hand to welcome people and ask for their views on ways the centre could be used to benefit the community in the future.
Voluntary organisations including Voluntary Action Angus already have plans for using the centre to help people to access services locally.
