A free ‘Ask The Panel’ information evening for people living with diabetes will be held at the Links Health Centre in Montrose next Thursday, April 19
Organised by the Montrose Diabetes Forum, the evening is aimed at people living in Montrose and the surrounding area who are living with diabetes, including their families and carers.
The ‘Ask The Panel’ evening will give anyone affected by the condition to pose diabetes-related questions to a team of healthcare professionals.
The team of experts includes a GP, a practice nurse and a community pharmacist.
Held in the health centre’s occupational therapy room from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, the informal evening will also provide the chance to meet and chat over a cup of tea with other diabetics who are living locally.
Rhona Guild, primary care manager with Angus Community Health Partnership, said: “The Montrose Diabetes Forum offers additional information and support to people living with diabetes and their families.
“This evening provides an opportunity for people to ask all those questions, no matter how big or small, that have been playing on their minds.
“I would encourage people living with diabetes to come along to the evening as it is important for people affected by a long-term condition to have access to the right information, education, support and services to help them manage their condition more effectively.”
