The Montrose Scotmid store is joining a major fund-raiser for the blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan.
The charity has been designated Scottish Midland Co-operative Society Charity of the Year and all the Angus branches are involved.
Drew McDonald, Scotmid Montrose manager, said: “We are thrilled to be working alongside Anthony Nolan in the year they celebrate four decades of saving lives and we know that our staff and shoppers in Angus will get behind this incredible charity.
“We’re sure that ‘The Scotmid Lifesavers’ can help Anthony Nolan to grow its lifesaving register and carry out world-class research into blood cancer at a crucial time in the charity’s history.”
The target among all the stores involved is £200,000.
