Scottish Hydro is calling for community groups, schools, charities and organisations in and around Montrose to nominate projects that would benefit from the energy company’s help.
Employees based at the Montrose Scottish Hydro shop are keen to help projects in need of support as part of its Community at Heart scheme.
The scheme gives each member of staff a day away from their normal duties to do voluntary work for local organisations and charities in their community. That means that organisations can borrow a team of hands, minds, ideas or skills completely free of charge.
Local manager Carrie Milne said: “The team here are keen to give a helping hand and make a difference to local organisations and charities.”
Nominations can be submitted by completing an application form available at www.hydro.co.uk/aboutus/helpinghands/ or in person at the Scottish Hydro shop at 116 High Street.
