HILLSIDE Church has entered the ‘Rice Challenge’ this year to raise funds for youngsters in Malawi.
By selling 90 kilos of rice, enough money will be raised to send a young person in Malawi to secondary school for a year.
The church managed to sell a quarter of their allocation on Sunday and they hope to sell a lot more at the Churches Together stall at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday (March 5).
There will lots of other fairly-traded goods on offer at the stall to celebrate ‘Fairtrade fortnight.’
