Investigation into thefts and car damage

Police officers in Brechin are appealing for information in relation to three unconnected crimes that have occurred recently in the town.

The first is in relation to the theft of both wing mirrors from a motorcycle, which was parked near the east end of Montrose Street and occurred between 7pm on Monday, June 13, and 7.30am the following morning. A person was heard running through rear gardens of Hillview at about 2.30am on the night in question and it may be this person is connected with the theft.

The second incident relates to damage sustained to a parked grey Hyundai motor car, which was situated in the lay-by in St David between 8.30pm on Saturday, June 11, and 4pm the following day. It is unknown at this time if the damage was caused by another vehicle or maliciously.

Lastly, theft of items from a motor car and a caravan, which were parked within the Delsons Yard, just off the A935 and directly west of the abattoir, has occurred sometime between June 1-10.
