It’s a knockout success

The Montrose Emergency Services Group (MESG) held its annual ‘It’s A Knockout’ tournament at Marine Avenue, Montrose on Sunday.

Seven teams competed for the coveted Knockout toilet seat and shield with Police Scotland narrowly beating Links Park Community Trust and securing the accolade on their third attempt.

The event was a great spectacle with all competitors entering into the spirit of the games.

New games were introduced this year, one of which - ‘Hungry Hippos’ - proved very popular with competitors and spectators alike.

MESG chairman Ally Hutchison said: “On behalf of the group, I would like to thank all teams, spectators, referees, stewards and the many other people who helped make the event a success.

“Particular thanks to Montose Rotary Club, Borrowfield Community Group, The Royal British Legion social club, YM Montrose and Willy Officer. All are testament to the great partnership work being undertaken in Montrose.”
