Life of J. M. Barrie

THE life of Sir J. M. Barrie is to be put on stage in a new theatre production.

Stirling-based group Theatre Broad will bring their production of J. M. Barrie - Peter Pan Man, to the Webster Memorial Theatre in Arbroath on May 18.

Part of a three-act show, producers commissioned Edinburgh playwright Anne Stenhouse to write one of the short plays, which gives life to M’Connachie, Barrie’s alter ego.

The play pairs a practical Barrie with a fanciful M’Connachie over 40 years.

Barrie’s plays Seven Women and The Twelve Pound Look will fill the remaining slots.

Cast members include Kerrie Sellick, John Wilde, Alan McLaren, Robert Howat, Carol Metcalf, Tangee Lenton and Katy-Louise Pritchett.

Metcalf is also responsible for directing.
