Montrosian Harry Harris (90) who moved away from the town in 1941 to join the RAF sent in this photo to the Review to see if anyone recognises themselves or anyone pictured?
Mr Harris was born in Montrose and got a scholarship to Montrose Academy. He is asking for anyone in this photo of Miss Craik’s class from 1933 to get in touch with him.
He volunteered with RAF at 17 and was allowed to join once he turned 18 in 1941.
Mr Harris married Mary Durward on June, 21, 1947, and the couple have lived in Keighley, West Yorkshire, for more than 37 years now.
He said: “We were in Montrose on holiday in 2006 but have not been back since. I think it is most unlikely that any one will reply but I am optimistic.”
You can get in touch with Mr Harris at 7 Lime Close, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD20 6TZ, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01535 665937.
