The newly appointed Divisional Commander has pledged a commitment to keeping people safe in Tayside as he hailed the first year of Police Scotland a success.
Chief Superintendent Eddie Smith said the transformation over the last year has enabled the new single force to deliver the best possible service by strengthening links with local communities, building on best practice from previous legacy forces.
He said: “I am honoured and delighted to have recently taken over as the local policing commander for Tayside Division. Officers and staff have consistently delivered a quality and style of policing that is of the highest standard and I am proud of the work they do.
“Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross are amongst the safest communities in Scotland to live, work and visit and that has continued under Police Scotland.”
