This year’s Borrowfield Funday Sunday is this weekend with a host of activities for all the family.
Borrowfield Community Group Association (BCAG) is holding its annual event at Borrowfield Park on Sunday (August 31) between 10.30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
There will be a special appearance from Arbroath policeman turned bowling champion, Darren Burnett, who won the Commonwealth gold medal.
Also on the same day is the Borrowfield Scarecrow Festival, which is being run by the 2nd Montrose Scouts.
Taking to the stage between 2 and 4 p.m. is rock band Fubar, following hot on the heels of an acoustic set by local musician Liam Grieve.
There will be a range of stalls on offer. Food and drink will also be available.
BCGA Darren Burnett chairman commented: “This years Funday Sunday will have something for all the family. Come along and have a good time. We are hoping to have some well known local faces in our stocks, the emergency services vehicles, as well as a very special guest - Commonwealth gold medal winner Darren Burnett. It will hopefully be a pure dead brilliant day!”
