Bus driver punched in face

A bus driver was punched in the face by a man whilst his bus was stopped in Montrose High Street.

The man boarded the bus, which was parked outside The Factory Shop, on the High Street, and punched the driver, who was sitting in his cab, in the face.

The incident occurred between 9.50 and 10 a.m. last Monday, June 30.

The driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the attack.

There were around 15 passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the bus driver being assaulted. The man who hit the driver is described as being around 55 years of age and was wearing a white T-shirt, light blue jeans and blue trainers.
