A number of changes have been made to bus routes in Montrose.
This follows a review of services and a retendering exercise by Angus Council.
The changes affect the 47, 47A, 47B, 48 and 52 Montrose town services, as well as the Service 115, 116, 127 Forfar to Friockheim and Montrose via Farnell or Inverkeilor, and are effective from Monday (June 2).
In addition, a number of commercial service revisions will also be introduced by bus operators on this date.
Significant timetable changes will be introduced to Monday to Friday Service 48 journeys. These will now be operated as Service 52 providing an hourly daytime service until approximately 3.30 p.m.
The route taken by the replacement weekday Service 52 around Traill Terrace has changed with services on Mondays to Fridays operating in a clockwise direction.
Service 48 timetable remains unchanged on Saturdays, however journeys will now be operated by Stagecoach Strathtay.
Weekday Service 52 journeys around the Glens and Borrowfield are the subject of commercial timetable revisions by M W Nicoll - passengers are being asked to refer to the new timetable prior to travelling.
A new Stagecoach Strathtay Saturday Service 127 will now operate between Forfar and Montrose, departing from Forfar East High Street at 8.30 a.m. and returning at 5.48 p.m. from Montrose Railway Station.
Both journeys run via Friockheim, Farnell Road End and Maryton War Memorial
Printed timetables for the revised services are available from local libraries, ACCESS offices and tourist information points.
