Class of ‘61

PETER Booth has written to the Review to give an update on progress with the 50th anniversary reunion of the class of ‘61 at Montrose Academy.

He said: “I am still trying to track down some classmates and I would be very grateful for your help if you could publish a plea for information. Does anyone know the current whereabouts of Evelyn Crowe, Helen Campbell, Moyra Stewart, Carol Paton and Michael Cook?”

He has been told that the following members are no longer with us: Angus Wem, Maurice Ballentine, Sandy Geddie, Alan Brown, Marjory Rae, Margaret Tough and Lilias Inglis.

There exists a photograph taken in fourth year, and Mr Booth hopes, as far as possible, to recreate this at the reunion.

Events for those attending the reunion will include a visit to the Academy, golf, a walk round Montrose led by Sandy Munro, and a walk at St Cyrus Nature Reserve.

Mr Booth can be contacted at Peter Booth petersbooth@hotmail.com or write to him at Bracken Bank, Barnhill Road, Ridge, Wareham BH20 5BD.
