The happy couple

Stewart and Peggy, nee Brown, Beveridge celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on April 3.

Mrs Beveridge grew up in Stranraer and Mr Beveridge in Montrose, then later went to work in Stranraer after serving in the RAF.

They met at a church youth dance and were married six months later in St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Stranraer. The couple had two sons and one daughter, who were born before 1970.

The family migrated to Australia in 1970 to Victoria and later moved to Gladstone, Queensland, where their second daughter was born in October 1975.

The couple later moved to Tahlee Bible College, New South Wales, in 1982 and their third daughter was born in September 1982. They returned to Queensland in 1985 and moved to Alexandra Hills in 1993.
