Dorward House in Montrose will be holding a Gala Day on Saturday (August 9) from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
The Gala Day is part of the celebrations to mark 175 years of Dorward House, since it opened on June 29, 1839.
There will be fun for all the family on the day with refreshments, tea, coffee and cakes in the marque as well as burgers and soft drinks.
There will be a ‘cake and candy’ stall with chocolate fondue, a raffle and tombola as well as games and fun activities for all ages. There will be interesting information available about Dorward House and Montrose day care.
The entertainment throughout the afternoon will be provided by the Montrose Town band, local musicians, singers and dancers and a magician.
The Gala Day will be taking place within the grounds of Dorward House and all are welcome to attend and join in the fun!
Dorward House aims to provide high quality mainstream care, respite facilities, and high dependency care for vulnerable older people.
The house has 28 mainstream bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, a respite unit with fully en-suite bedrooms, and an eight place fully en-suite high dependency unit (Fairview) for people who are physically or mentally more frail.
