Montrose’s stately home, The House of Dun, has received the Trip Advisor 2014 Winner of Excellence award.
The award for the National Trust for Scotland property comes hot on the heels of two other awards.
The Montrose Society awarded a certificate of excellence in civic design for the Den of Dun path work extension which has taken the one kilometre of paths to over 4.2 kilometres.
The third award was presented by Angus Council under the partners in learning, recognising the work carried out with local schools over the previous year.
John McKenna, property manager, said: “We were delighted to see that the efforts made in extending the path network, interacting with the schools and a great visitor experience has resulted in these awards, with the property now open seven days a week to the public we hope that these achievements will encourage even more visitors to the property.”
