A long-standing leader has taken her leave of the 1st Hillside Rainbows after 10 years.
Starting as a Brownie at the age of seven, Fiona McKillop later became the first Baden-Powell Guide in Angus.
She said: “I have really enjoyed my time as a Rainbow leader and the challenges it can throw up such a wide ability group at that age, but it’s all worth it when you see the girls smiling, laughing and having a good time.
“All the leaders, young leaders and guides we’ve had helping over the years have been great to work with.
“A large number of the girls from age 16 down in Hillside have been in our Rainbows at one time or another and it’s been a privilege to have known them all.
“I know the unit will continue to thrive with Lynda and Teresa.”
She added: “I will be continuing to fund-raise for Montrose and the district area as always with our usual face painting stall, which pops up at all the town events.
“The next big fund-rasing event will to be the Montrose Music Festival.
She concluded: “I’m gone but not forgotten, just yet.”
