Hillside Hotel plan booted out

THE PLANNING application for the Hillside Hotel has been refused by Angus Council’s planning committee.

It was on this morning’s agenda (May 29), but was recommended for rejection by the planning director, Eric Lowson.

Councillor David May, a Hillside resident for 25 years, spoke against the proposal, which he described a out of scale with surrounding buildings.

Councillors agreed, and the plan was thrown out.
