IT funding for Angus schools

ANGUS Council has pledged funding for schools to ensure they have access to the latest information technology.

The authority’s education committee has agreed to allocate £496,000 towards ICT in schools.

Convener Sheena Welsh said: “The council recognises the importance of ICT in primary and secondary schools, and has made significant investment in the past to ensure that all our schools have excellent ICT resources.

“The majority of our schools and education establishments have access to excellent ICT resources, but it is vital that we continue to maintain progress and invest in new and emerging technologies, and to embed ICT effectively within the school curriculum.”
