Libraries put borrowers in the driving seat

PEOPLE in Angus who are learning to drive can now practice for their theory test through local libraries

Angus Council’s library service has added software package Theory Test Pro to its list of internet services which are available freely to borrowers. The new service provides a highly realistic online simulation of the UK’s driving theory test and contains the entire official test question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version of the Highway Code.

Theory Test Pro’s material is licensed from the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) so learner drivers can be assured that the practice questions they are given are from the people who set the official tests.

Access to Theory Test Pro is free for borrowers at any Angus library and can be accessed remotely from home using a library card.

Henry Dillon, marketing director of Well Informed Limited which developed Theory Test Pro, said: “I’m happy that borrowers of Angus Council Libraries will have free access to Theory Test Pro. Theory Test Pro offers everything you’d get from a CD-ROM with none of the hassle.”

Borrowers can take practice driving theory tests by visiting the Theory Test Pro website at angus.theorytestpro.co.uk.

Angus residents without a library membership can obtain one by visiting their local library. Further information is available on www.angus.gov.uk/anguslibraries
