MEMBERS of Macmillan Cancer Support’s Montrose committee are putting the final touches to their third annual Speaker’s Dinner, which will be held in the Links Hotel on Saturday, March 16.

Host for the evening will be David Birse, and the guest speakers will be Linda Ormiston, an accomplished opera singer and witty speaker, and well-known public speaker Jim Brown from Fettercairn, whose last appearance in Montrose was on June 12 last year when he carried the Olympic torch on its journey through the town.

Bob Burns will also astonish and delight throughout the evening with his talents as illusionist and magician.

Tickets for the dinner, which begins at 6.45pm, are £35 and are available from Pat Lampen on 01674 677678 and Margaret Cowie on 01674 677501.

The committee will also hold its AGM on Monday, February 11, at 7pm to review its successful year of fund-raising.
