A man was rescued from Montrose waters last night.

A was search was launched following a report that there was a person in the water near to the Rossie Island Bridge, in Montrose.

Aberdeen Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) received a 999 call shortly before 8.30 p.m. last night (March 5).

Two coastguard officers conducted a snatch water rescue, where they put lifejacket on top of their clothes, and recovered a male to the shore where he was handed over to an ambulance crew.
