The Montrose and District Choral Society presented a Spring Concert at St Marys and St Peters Church

The Montrose and District Choral Society presented a Spring Concert at St Mary’s and St Peter’s Church on Saturday (April 5) at 7.30 p.m.

The conductor for the evening was Isobel Luke, the organist was John Gove, Karen Proctor and Claire Stenhouse were on the Soprano, Brian Sullivan was the tenor and Amy Sanders was the page turner.

The choir began the concert with ‘All in the April Evening’ followed by the ‘Hymn of Praise’ which was originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in Leipzig in 1730.

A number of songs followed as well as prayers, refreshments and an ‘exit by donation’.

The Montrose and District Choral society hold rehearsals every Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Knox’s Church Hall in Baltic Street.
