ANGUS Council has appointed two new strategic directors.

Margo Williamson has been appointed Strategic Director, People. She joins Angus from South Ayrshire Council, where she is head of service, education.

Mark Armstrong has been appointed strategic director, resources. He is currently head of development (education & skills) at North Ayrshire Council.

Both will join Angus Council in April.

Council leader Iain Gaul said: “I am delighted that Margo and Mark are joining Team Angus as part of our new executive management team; their experience and expertise will be an asset to the council.

“They join us at an exciting time as we focus on improving our services to residents and our business processes.

“Together with the chief executive and Alan McKeown, our new strategic director, communities, Margo and Mark will lead this programme of improvement.”
