Big Issue sellers

TOMMY Stewart, chairman of Montrose Community Council, brought up the subject of Big Issue sellers with fake credentials, at Thursday’s meeting.

Sergeant Hamish Gray said they had been moved on, but he was puzzled because they were selling the current edition.

Tayside Aircrew Association

Tayside Aircrew Assoc-iation held its first meeting of 2013 at McDiarmid Park in Perth on Thursday, with George Roberts in the chair.

Tribute was paid to former member Bill Dobbie who had died since the previous meeting.

Post-lunch entertainment was a DVD showing the first part of ‘One Hundred Years of Powered Flight’ covering progress in aviation from the first flight of the Wright brothers to the early part of the 21st century.

The next meeting will be on Thursday, February 28.

Until the end of the week there will be safety camera activity on the A9 Stirling to Perth and Inverness and the A90 Perth to Dundee and Aberdeen.
