It’s not long now until the Marykirk Raft Race Committee holds their annual Raft Race Day!
The turnout of teams this year is looking really good so it will definitely be worth a watch on the day.
The race starts at 12 noon down by the river on Sunday, May 18, however if taking part or watching the ‘water fun’ isn’t for you then pop down to the park between 2 and 8 p.m. to take part in all of the fun-filled activities that will be available on the day.
There will be a beer tent in the park managed by MSG Events and of course our stage will be packed full on the day with local bands, including the fantastic Ferus Cane who supported Burlesque at the recent event in the Town Hall.
This year there will also be a climbing wall, rodeo bull and body zorbing going on in the park as well as other activities, children’s races, stalls and food vans. It’s going to be an exciting day out for all ages that you don’t want to miss out on.
