Remember to register

ONLY 60 per cent of those who were sent voters’ registration forms in August have returned them.

John Galbraith, Electoral Registration Officer, is concerned that many people will deny themselves a vote by not returning them.

He said: “All you have to do is update the electoral registration form with details of everyone who lives in the household and is eligible to vote, and return it to us as soon as possible.”

If your details have not changed, you can reply by telephone, text or Internet.

Door-to-door visits will be carried out from October 21 to November 16, when canvassers will call at addresses from which no form has been returned.

If you need more information, call 01307 462416.
