North East Promotions have announced that the latest act in a long line of top quality music acts to play Montrose will be Runrig legend Donnie Munro.
Donnie shot to worldwide fame as the voice of multi-million selling Scottish folk rock band Runrig.
He left the band to embark first on a political career and then a successful solo music career.
The concert on February 14 will be a unique acoustic event with a rare chance to see such a star in a intimate setting.
Donnie will be accompanied by Eric Cloghley and Maggie Adamson.
Support for the night will be from Colin Clyne, a local act riding high in the singles and albums downloads charts with his latest album ‘The Never Ending Pageant’ peaking at number six.
Opening the night will be Gleadraich, a pipe rock band from Carnoustie who performed at the Queen’s Baton Relay ceremony in Montrose prior to the Commonwealth Games.
You can still enter the contest to win tickets to see The Dangleberries live in Montrose on August 30. All you have to do is tell is who sang the original version of ‘Valerie’ by August 15. You can e-mail or post us your answer. Please include your name and a contact telephone number.
