May is Scam Awareness month, and Angus Council is working with its partners in the county to protect consumers from rip offs.
There’s a scam for just about everyone and every situation. Whether it’s through your letterbox, telephone, internet connection or even your door, unscrupulous traders are out there. Scam Awareness Month is about fighting back against the scammers, giving consumers the information, skills and confidence to spot and stop scams. The council has joined forces with Angus Citizens Advice Bureau to launch a new partnership offering support to consumers, seek effective redress, develop local information sharing and mutual support.
