A special bus service will operate on Easter Sunday to link some of the tourist attractions around the Montrose area.
The Classic 1980s’ period style service bus, a former Northern Scottish, Leyland Leopard, will ply a route calling at the Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, the House of Dun and the Caledonian Steam Railway, at Bridge of Dun, via the High Street and the Montrose mainline railway station.
This service is operated by the Angus Transport Group, a voluntary force who own, restore and maintain a small private collection of buses for use on Special services, such as the ‘Basin Rambler’ or for display at local and national vehicle shows.
The Angus Transport Group work closely with the Caledonian Railway at Brechin and have been restoring their 1951 British Railways Scammell Scarab, this will be on display at Bridge of Dun Station on Easter Sunday.
For more information on the ‘Basin Rambler’ service and timetables, please look out on the Montrose High Street and at railway station bus stops.
